Since establishing the group in 1984, he has transformed the urban landscape of Ahmedabad. Under his strategic guidance and leadership, NG Group has developed more than 50 million sq. ft. of land, standing strong as a diversified conglomerate with a formidable presence in infrastructure, finance, and technology.

Early Life

Born in 1951 into a modest farmer family, NG Patel started out as a true son of the soil, learning the value of hard work early on. Even as a child, he showed a deep sense of responsibility, balancing his academics with actively contributing to his family’s farming operations.

After completing his primary and secondary education at Sarkhej Kelvani Mandal School in the Gujarati medium, he went on to earn his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in science (M.Sc.). He was also awarded a Gold Medal in Mathematics in recognition of his outstanding academic excellence.

Mr. NG Patel began his professional journey with SBI Bank, where he thrived amid demanding responsibilities. Remarkably, he continued farming alongside his banking role, while also pursuing his passion for sports and extending generous support to his siblings’ higher education.

With a visionary outlook and sharp business acumen, Mr. NG Patel alongside his brother, Late Mr. Narsinh G. Patel, established NG Group in Ahmedabad in 1984. As President of the Gujarat State Volleyball Association, Mr. NG Patel has provided strategic direction, institutional support and immense energy to grow volleyball across the state. He is also the founder and promoter of the Corporate Volleyball League, an innovative concept that bridges the corporate world with competitive sport.

A respected figure in Gujarat’s social and sporting circles, Mr. Patel has held prestigious leadership positions across sports, education and community organisations throughout his distinguished career.

His current positions include CMD of N.G. Group, President of Ahmedabad Sporting Club, President of Gujarat State Volleyball Association, Vice-President of Sarkhej Kelvani Mandal, and Chairman of New KCR - Karnavati Club & Resort since 2023.
